Mr. Kurzenin began his legal career in 1994. He has held senior leadership roles at several of Russia’s largest financial institutions, advising on corporate governance, finance, cross‑border transactions, and regulatory compliance.
In addition to his legal work, he has maintained a strong academic presence. For twelve years, he was a visiting professor on international MBA programs offered by Antwerp Management School and Grenoble École de Management in partnership with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), where he taught business law courses.
He is an attorney admitted to the State Bar of California and holds a Ph.D. in Law as well as an MBA.
Since 2018, he has concentrated his practice in the United States, counseling entrepreneurs, investors, multinational corporations, and high‑net‑worth individuals on complex domestic and cross‑border legal and regulatory matters.
His practice encompasses corporate and commercial law, U.S. and international tax, business‑visa immigration, and estate and tax planning. He regularly advises clients on cross‑border business structuring, international tax strategy, investment transactions, and wealth preservation.
Over the course of his career, he has represented prominent business figures and globally recognized clients, including Russian billionaires, a member of the Saudi royal family, and a Hollywood actress, providing strategic counsel on high‑stakes legal and business challenges.
